I've got one game that was really bad about that kind of breakage, but they were also really nice about trying to fix things so I'm not going to name-and-shame. Usually you can push it a bit and get the dev to understand, but not always. No, my distro version does not invalidate my bug report that you shipped a 32bit lib and 64bit binary, or forgot to ship a binary at all, etc. Then, if something goes wrong and you try to report a bug, the first response tends to be "lol sorry your system deviates slightly from what the requirements say so your bug report is invalid" because they don't know how to tell when it's relevant to the problem or not. Especially with Unity games if the game's made with Unit圓d there seems to be a high chance that this will be the case. I've noticed some of them don't even have Linux systems to test on, they just tick a box somewhere to build for Linux and figure they're done. Heated discussions are fine, unwarranted insults are not. Please mark "standalone" tech-support requests as support request and re-flair them as answered if an answer has been found (even if it was "this can't be done"). This wiki page can help you gather system information. What exactly did you do, and how, and with what version of what? How have you tried to troubleshoot the problem? Vague, low-effort tech-support requests may get removed.

Include relevant details like logs, terminal output, system information. Tech-support requests posted outside the Weekly Tech-Support Thread should be of general interest.
